Editorial policy
Southern Garden Review aims to make garden subjects clear, specific and worth a second look. We separate explanation from opinion, take care with factual claims and make our editorial and commercial relationships visible to readers.
Accuracy and care
We review articles for clarity, consistency and factual accuracy before publication. When a subject varies by place, season or growing conditions, we say so rather than turning a local possibility into a rule. Our articles offer general editorial information, not professional, safety-critical or locally tailored advice.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. We do not promise coverage in exchange for support or a partnership. If a reader identifies a material error, we assess the details and correct the article when warranted, making significant changes clear in the published text where appropriate.
Partner material
Paid or partner-supported material is clearly identified so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner links or placements are labelled where they appear. A commercial relationship does not determine our editorial conclusions or guarantee a favourable mention.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and should not be mistaken for proof that a garden, plant or result is typical. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where they are used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs.
